I4E: Innovate For Employment

Innovate for Employment, implemented by StartHub Africa in collaboration with the Embassy of France. The project aims to support agile and innovative training for better employability and integration into the labor market of youth and women in Uganda.
The program brings on board private partners such as SafeBoda, AAR Healthcare Uganda, and CFAO Motors, Lapaire, Zetu Africa, and WAYA clothing, who are supporting the creation of decent jobs for young people.

Objectives

The main objectives of the project are:

Enhancing Private Sector Talent Acquisition:

Innovate for Employment aims to strengthen the private sector’s ability to connect with and recruit high-caliber talent from Ugandan universities. Through the program, we aim to foster valuable collaborations that help companies access the best and brightest, driving growth and innovation.

Fostering Practical Industry Exposure:

We aim to provide university students and recent graduates with invaluable hands-on experience within the industry. By bridging the gap between academia and the workforce, we will empower individuals to enter their careers equipped with practical skills, enhancing their employability.

Cultivating Soft and Innovative Skills:

Innovate for Employment is committed to refining university students’ soft skills and fostering innovation capabilities. Through targeted training and mentorship, we aim to ensure that graduates possess not only technical knowledge but also the adaptable and innovative mindset required for success in today’s dynamic job market.
