The “Start your own business” Short Course enables you to develop your own business idea and turn it into a successful startup.
Learn together with fellow participants what it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur. The course gives you not only the opportunity to gain unique insights in entrepreneurship but also to get answers to the startup questions that new entrepreneurs face. In brief, our practical hands on approach makes you having started your business by the end of the course.
Module 1: Discover
Great entrepreneurs are passionate and use their strengths. In module 1 you are guided to discover your own personality and generate business ideas based on your passion and skills.
But entrepreneurs don't simply sell something. They create value and solve a real problem. Therefore you are guided to spot problems outside and to turn them into opportunities.
Module 2: Develop a Model!
A great idea is not enough, a business needs to be profitable. We provide you with easy methods to quickly calculate if your business ideas can become profitable and scalable in the long-run.
Module 3: Problem Interviews
You now start working on your own business. You will chose a customer segment and a problem you want to solve and are guided to conduct problem interviews and market research.
Module 4: Ideate a product or service
To solve the discovered problems, you are guided through design-thinking-methods to generate innovative business ideas based on your customer´s need.
Module 5: Your Prototype!
Come up with a first paper prototype and get customer feedback.
Module 6: Minimum Viable Product
After conducting solution interviews with the paper prototype, you are guided to build the first minimum version of your product and make first sales.
Module 7: Business Modelling
A great product is not enough. The entire business model around must be working. You are guided to develop a first business model, to test it immediately and to develop a good marketing strategy.
Week 8: Pitching
Learn how to give a great pitch-presentation that convinces investors, potential customers and supporters.
Week 9: Strategic Planning
You are prepared how to continue your business successfully after the short course. You develop a strategic plan and set your milestones regarding sales and customers you want to reach.
