We teach African Entrepreneurs how to start their own business successfully. In the course entrepreneurs gain unique insights and get answers to their startup questions. In practical hands-on sessions the own business ideas are developed with little starting capital.

The “Start your own business” short course teaches you how to develop your own business idea and turn it into a successful startup.

You learn together with fellow participants what it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur. The course gives you the opportunity to gain unique insights in entrepreneurship and to get answers to the startup questions that new entrepreneurs face. In addition to the above, the course also gives you a practical hands on approach to stat a business by the end of the course.

By Participating in the Start your own business Course from StartHub Africa, you:

This course consists of 9 weekly modules:

  • Module 1: Discover your strengths and passion and learn how to spot business opportunities
  • Module 2: Develop a business model for your first business idea and calculate if your business idea is profitable
  • Module 3: Analyze your customers and do market research
  • Module 4: Ideate a product or service based on your customers’ needs
  • Module 5: Build the first prototype and get customer feedback
  • Module 6: Build the first minimum viable product and make your first sales
  • Module 7: Test your business model further and develop a good marketing strategy
  • Module 8: Learn how to pitch your business and to convince customers and investors
  • Module 9: Make a long-term plan how to grow your business successfully
