StartHub Certified Business Coach/Trainer Program
The StartHub Africa Certified Business Coach/Trainer Program is an opportunity for passionate individuals to become certified business mentors and join a diverse, multilingual network of educators across Uganda. This program equips you with advanced skills in business fundamentals, design thinking, and financial literacy, with a heavy emphasis on practical business development, enabling you to deliver high-quality and hands-on support to businesses.
Participants go through a structured process, including application, skills assessment, in-person training, and certification. Once certified, trainers become eligible for paid contracts with StartHub Africa, contributing to the growth of entrepreneurs and supporting Uganda’s vibrant startup ecosystem.

Eligibility and Who Can Apply?
✅ You have experience in business coaching or training.
✅ You are a business owner passionate about sharing knowledge.
✅ You operate in Kampala, Jinja or Arua
✅ You are fluent in English or a local Ugandan language.
✅ You can attend a week long training (26th – 30th January) – accommodation and transport will be provided.
How the Program Works
1️⃣ Apply Online: Fill out the application form
2️⃣ Presentation Task: Showcase your skills.
3️⃣ Training: Attend a week of in-person training in Kampala, Arua or Jinja.
4️⃣ Certification: Pass the assessment to become a certified trainer
5️⃣ Get Hired: Start receiving paid training gigs with StartHub Africa
Frequently Asked Questions
What languages do you need? English, or various Ugandan languages
Is this a full-time job? It depends. Trainers are hired per project (some are full-time contracts, others are consulting contracts, i.e., based on training done). We can not guarantee placements.
How do I get certified? Complete training, earn badges, and pass the assessment
Do I need prior training experience? It’s preferred but not mandatory!
Do I have to pay for training? Training is free.
What will I train in? Business Fundamentals, Design Thinking, Financials and many more.
