Kenya is widely recognized as a tech powerhouse in Africa, with Nairobi earning the title “Silicon Savannah”. The country’s ICT sector contributes nearly 8% of GDP and continues to grow rapidly, powered by mobile money innovations like M-PESA and an expanding digital economy. This strong foundation makes Kenya a fertile ground for startups that blend technology with scalable business models.
In 2024, StartHub Africa piloted the 0.1% Founder Program in Kenya, bringing together ambitious tech entrepreneurs to refine their ventures and connect with investors. Startups like iNyumba (rent management), Kadhr (MSME digital tools), and Rocambole (public transport tech) showcased Kenya’s potential to create scalable, investor-ready businesses.
