About Kampala Urban Livelihood Program

The project aims to support urban refugees living in Kampala to create sustainable livelihoods through practical vocational training supplemented by an entrepreneurship training and mentorship program tailored to the refugees.

StartHub is currently contracted by the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) to implement the two tailored entrepreneurship programs below for their beneficiaries (refugees in Kampala)

  1. Business Fundamentals Track: A starter program that aims to give learners the knowledge and skills to start a business right from ideation to market stage, while guiding and supporting them to identify the most important resources to start.
  2. Innovate Track: A follow up program whose overall objective is to support and strengthen businesses to scale.

The training is supplemented with mini grants to enable beneficiaries start lean whist giving them expert guidance through mentorship.
